▇ Characteristics and Applications
At room temperature, it is a pale yellow oily liquid. It is easily soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, esters, ketones, alkanes, and aromatic hydrocarbons, like ethanol, butyl acetate, acetone, gasoline, and toluene, but insoluble in water. When heated, exposed to light, or in contact with air, its color gradually deepens. This product is an industrial oil antioxidant with excellent performance, low price, and convenient use. It is mainly used as an antioxidant additive for fuel oils such as gasoline, diesel, and biodiesel, as well as various lubricating oils, and as an anti - aging agent for rubber and plastics.
